I was referred to the role by an agency recruiter, and so I think I had a expedited interview process. First I met with the CEO, Marc, to talk about the role in a broad sense. He was very accommodating about working around my hectic schedule at the time. We met outside of the office and spoke about what CERTIFY was working on and where the future of the company was headed. It was exciting to hear the CEO's vision, and it made me want to be part of a "rising star" company. A few days later I came to the office and met with the rest of the executive team to talk about the company culture, and how my role would fit with the organization. They asked about my background, experience, and what I could bring to the company. Marc couldn't be there in person for the second round interview because he was home with his sick child. I appreciate a CEO who recognizes the importance of being there for family, and was happy to meet him separately again to work out the terms of my employment.
I liked how open everyone was about the work expectations, the challenges they have faced and overcome, and what they needed from the role I was interviewing for. It made me eager to help solve some problems and propel CERTIFY even further.
