I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Applied online, then got a response from the hiring manager after a couple of weeks. No phone interview; just went straight ahead for an on-site interview. Went through my resume and my skills in particular, then tested me on a series of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript questions. Yes, there's a whiteboarding portion regarding an algorithm problem, and they do it to test you on your logic and reasoning—it's up to you whatever language you want to use.
it was a Hirevue, they asked typical interview questions like introduce yourself, what challenges have you faced, what's your news diet, etc. took only around 15 minutes to complete but I would do significant preparation.
Very thorough and detailed. There were three rounds of interview, and one of them was online. Then it came to in person interview. I struggled with the online because you have to record yourself and answer their questions with time limits.
I was instructed to undergo a virtual interview on Hireview. I have not heard back yet, but they asked basic questions like "tell us about yourself" and "why are you interested in this internship?"
