I applied online. I interviewed at CNWL NHS (London, England) in May 2026
Interview
There was an in-depth process for the application. Then this moved quite quickly to group interview stage. The day was enjoyable and being able to engage with colleagues. The areas not so positive was the "the Apprentice" style of advising who would be moving to the next stage in the afternoon and those who would not. Being informed you would not be moving forward then having to walk back to others without any feedback could be potentially managed another way. Also, after being advised that a decision would be made the following week there has been no further communications. After the process and preparing a presentation, feedback I would say should be a minimum at the end of the process for non successful candidates.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at CNWL NHS
Interview
Team lead was interviewed me one on one for basic knowledge of psychosis and schizophrenia. Then, I linked my past experiences and acknowledge for the NHS core value. And we discussed the Lived Experience Symptom Survey Project.
Straight forward but be prepared and do your research. Some questions can through you off guard if you have not read the job spec fully. Have an in-depth knowledge about the symptoms of common mental health problems and be prepared to ask questions around risk, safeguarding, adaptions and diversity
