Useless Interview Process, Waste of Candidate's Time I applied for a position at Carnot Technology and was asked to complete an assignment. I spent considerable time completing it and also created a Loom video explaining my solution. After that, I attended a coding round where I successfully wrote the code and ran it live in front of the interviewer. The solution worked correctly and met the requirements. Despite completing the assignment, creating the Loom video, and successfully demonstrating a working solution in the coding round, I was rejected without any meaningful feedback or explanation. If there were concerns about my performance, the company never communicated them. The entire process required a significant investment of time and effort, but in the end, it felt like a waste of time. Candidates are expected to spend hours on assignments, presentations, and technical rounds, yet there is little transparency regarding the evaluation process. Based on my experience, the interview process felt poorly managed and not respectful of candidates' time. Even after successfully running the code during the coding round, I received a rejection with no constructive feedback. Candidates should keep this in mind before applying.
