Castle Biosciences interview questions

The initial application included a typing speed test. I should have quit right then They either wouldn't or couldn't tell me the salary until the second interview, even with a promise to look into it and a follow up email from me. Then gaslight me saying they never committed to finding that information. Rescheduled the 2nd interview twice. Sent emails to my contacts for recommendations without contacting me. Asked for my salary expectations in front of the other lead that would be my colleague without any context of what I would expect. Completely unprofessional, the whole interaction was a red flag.

Four rounds: recruiter, hiring manager, direct team, wider team. The first two are conducted over teleconference. The second two are in-person. During my direct team interview, only one person was there in person. The others joined via teleconference. There were two persons who didn't have their cameras on, and one of those was a surprise based on the reaction of the others, I believe they were a VP over the team. This came across as unprofessional to me as I took off work and drove to the location, and they were unwilling to turn on their camera so I could make eye contact with them and see their facial expressions. They pulled the job, removing everyone from contention, and reposed it as two different positions. I found out later the position I applied to was also a repost as well. I am happy that I did not move forward as the job requirements were not stated as what they needed and it would have been a lateral move in pay (assuming full bonus award), but with a significant increase in responsibility and time commitment.
