I conversed with the general manager and digital marketing specialist in a face-to-face interview. There was only 1 interview and 1 assignment, so the process was generally fast. My assignment was to write a brand story for an international brand.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CatSmart (Singapore)
Interview
Knew from the start that this company is a no go. The hiring manager had an interrogative attitude and seems to want to find someone who just does what she says, inferring from the questions she asked me.
She suggested that passionate in work means to not end work on time (red flag) and was quite upset when I asked about whether she would be open to explore alternative marketing strategies.
It felt like a power imbalanced interview session where the employer was judging the interviewee. Cannot imagine how suffocating and scary it would be to work under someone who does not value even an interviewee's input. I am glad to have picked up all of the negative cues and had no intention to join this company after the interview.
Wishing all employees working under this hiring manager the best of luck.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CatSmart (Singapore) in Apr 2022
