      Senior Java Developer Interview

      Nov 13, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Caterpillar (Bengaluru) in Sep 2019

      Interview

The interview process started with technical round after shortlisting my profile. The topics are covered with decent check on candidates eligibility on Java ,REST,Hibernate,Spring ,Sql and real time scenario. Got positive feedback after which appeared for managerial interview on other day. Here comes the twist as managerial interview was taken by three managers managers separately. Since the manager's location is different ,this was conducted as teleconference mode. Covered with common HR questions like, 1. How do you handle urgent deliveries? 2.What are your strengths&weakness? 3.Tell me where you achieved big in your career? 4.How did you handle a difficult situation? 5.How did you handle aggressive client etc. After one hour discussion ,the next teleconference was conducted with manager's manager. To my surprise, the same set of questions for next one hour. Next two manager's took F2F interview. With an exam paper kind of bundle with many pages and began with rapid round.More or less the same set of questions and each page was written with big essay after hearing my answer.Really a very pathetic process. Almost one hour fifteen minutes covered and the start/end time is noted on each page. At last, got the information that I will be notified once they consolidate the result. Not hearing any +ve news. I had a very big doubt that i was interviewed for director or technical lead position. In my point of view, they should come out of very much process oriented culture to practicality to select the responsible and good candidates.
