I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Caterpillar (Champaign, IL) in Jan 2018
Interview
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. It was similar to a standard behavioral interview with questions about working in a team, problem-solving, and applicable skills. It was an hour long, as you would speak to two engineers for half an hour each.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you solved a difficult problem?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Caterpillar (Peterborough, England) in Nov 2021
Interview
Usually there would be a psychometric assessment but it wasn't the case for this company you just have to apply and hand in cv. Once they decide your application is successful, you'll upload to their portal a series of online videos of you answering five questions about yourself. This is to get to know you before they offer a face to face assessment centre. Unfortunately due to high competition, I didn't qualify to the next stage and therefore I'm not sure what comes after this stage.
