In-depth technical discussion of the role, company and myself. There were 3 stages, each one expanding on previous one. I've interviewed engineers before and followed a similar process myself. These are my favourite types of interviews, Kris is a really nice guy to talk to, very passionate, and we talked a lot about all things IT/tech related. A lot of our goals, ideas, expectations, etc. align. It was a tough decision because this role pays a lot less compared to the other roles, but the benefits and the discussions we had during the recruitment process, helped me go with my gut feeling and accept this role. I think we can do some great things together and help drive the business forward.
