I applied online. I interviewed at Chase (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview was an online interview where you read a question and then it records a video of you answering the question. I did not like this type of interview. You get 30 seconds I believe to read the question and about 3 minutes to answer, which is fine but there is a countdown and I felt stressed that I would not have enough time to answer and trying not to look at the clock but directly at the camera to look like I am looking straight ahead, I ended up giving pretty short answers and I feel like I could have gave better answers. The questions themselves were pretty generic. You also had practice questions where you could practice answering and you could see the video answer but the practice questions were not on the actual interview. And you could not rerecord the questions on the actual interview.
I haven't heard anything from them so I don't know if I got the job or not.. probably not.

Question 1
Explain why your background and experience would be a good fit for this job?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chase (Atlanta, GA) in May 2019
Interview
I was first contacted by a recruiter by phone to schedule an in person interview for the following week, I applied for the position a week before. I asked for the first slot, and when the time came for the interview, it went smoothly. I met with the branch manager and the interview took about 30 min. They had told me that their previous lead teller left after a longtime which is a good sign because it shows that there is some stability within that particular branch and that teamwork is actually valued, the manager seemed hurt that they had to let their previous teller go, which was kinda thoughtful to me.
After my in person interview, I had received an email asking me to do a HireVue online video for the recruiter to see me on camera, and ask some online questions. Example" describe a time when you had to improve a customers situation..." stuff like that.
Then I had to wait til the end of the month to see if I was selected for the position, and I was.
I accepted the offer and I am very excited to begin my career here.
Note:
There was an assessment, an online interview, AFTER the face to face interview, and finally an offer. Overall it took a month to complete.

Interview
It's all about who you know because managers are different. You meet with the manager and she had a booklet of questions or topics. Most questions are simple. The manager is more focus on if you can cut either the staff that's already there. Because they will teach you how to work the system.
