I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Chase (San Jose, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Two formal interviews. 1st interviewer missed two scheduled interviews. I reached out both times at the scheduled time and a day later. They never followed up or reached out to acknowledge this until a week later. 2nd interviewer gave timeline when I would hear back, which didn't happen. I reached out and heard back a week later saying they would get back to me. Two more weeks went by and no one followed up, so I reached out again. Another week later, I was told the position was filled and to apply for another position. Overall disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication within a world-class institution.
I applied online. I interviewed at Chase (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Three interviews: phone, in person with branch manager, final phone call with regional manager/market director. Questions mostly behavioral and related to experience as a teller, and whether I was comfortable with warm calling.

Question 1
What were you most proud of in your professional and or personal life?
The interview process was very good and asks a lot of questions about sales experience or banking experience. If you’re licensed that is a plus. Recruiter called, then met with hiring manager and another branch manager. Total process took about 3-4 weeks

Question 1
Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a client
Standard interview process. Met a few personnel & the manager, got a feel for how the branch interacted with one another. Professional, nothing out of the ordinary for a role of this type.

They asked me if I was flexible in what position I was applying for.
