Cons:
- I won't get my 9 minutes back
- Interviewer (talent acquisition for the parent company) could not speak to the position beyond "it's a fast paced role" and "it's a get your hands dirty type of leadership role".
Tip to management: while I completely appreciate the functionality of an initial phone screen, might I suggest one of the following:
A) Abolishing it, because that was an utter waste of time
B) Better equip the person performing the screen with any knowledge of the company and/or specific role. Better yet, have someone from the relevant team involved in the recruitment process.
