      Research Analyst Interview

      Feb 1, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Citadel (New York, NY) in Jan 2017

      Interview

I was approached by an external recruiter. I shared my resume and a few days later had an in-person interview on site. I met with their internal recruiter and two team leaders. Overall I thought the interview was standard with standard questions. Nothing really challenged me to dig deep for answers. Where I feel they really dropped the ball (and felt disrespected as an experienced candidate) was with communication. Their internal recruiter didn't close the loop or manage expectations. Even though they said I would hear back after a few days one way or the other, I eventually just had to assume that they moved on because nobody ever got back to me. It's often par for the course with smaller firms, but not firms the size of Citadel who are using external recruiters to poach people.

Had a screener call with a recruiter and then a follow up call with someone on the team. I was initially connected by an external recruiter. Everyone was very nice

      Research Analyst Interview

      Jul 14, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Citadel in Feb 2021

      Interview

Very long interview process. Lasted for about 4 months. First round with HR and Second round with hiring PM. After which was virtual onsite with four analysts/PM in the US. And then two more rounds of interview with senior management people. Had to wait for two months after the virtual onsite because one of them holds no negative opinion but also not positive. They took the time to go on interview more people and exhaust their options because they are Citadel. Very disappointed as they set the expected salary very high initially and then after they offer me they keep lowering it. Nothing personal towards any of the interviewers but I do feel the company itself holds too much pride in their name and the internal process is very disorganized. If they do not have strong commitment to offices outside of US they should not waste candidate's time
