Interview
First you submit and application and then headquarters lets you know which location they think you would best serve in. Then they schedule you for a phone interview. They explain the program and ask why you are interested in serving in public schools. They also ask specific diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion questions. Such as what does equity nd diversity mean to you? The interview lasts for around 40mins to an hour. They will then email you to let you know if you have been accepted in 1-2 weeks.

I filled out the online application then I got an email, scheduling a phone interview. It lasted for almost an hour I want to say. Then I heard back within a week that I got the job. I didn't meet anyone in person until registration day, which is when they collect your identification pretty much.

Easy questions and an easy process. They are trying to figure out if you have a growth mindset, are empathetic, and can take feedback. You don't need experience with kids to get accepted they are looking for someone who is teachable.

We discussed what could be expected in the day-to-day work life of a student success coach as well as the expectations of the position. We then talked about nest steps.
