They hired an outside recruitment firm to handle the hire was enthusiastic and helpful until they weren't. Things went very well with the first and second interview which was in person. The principal person flew out to meet me and the exchange went well. But then after four weeks, there was no communication and I had to call to discover they had moved on to other candidates. This is really a black mark on the recruitment firm as competitive candidates should be informed when they are no longer being considered if they have other offers.
