They were really communicative at first when it came to scheduling my interview. The director of the department handled everything, and I appreciated how organized it was. My first interview was with a panel of four staff members who asked a set of questions. They were thorough and asked about my background, how I’d apply my skills to the role, and how my faith would play into it. The college’s mission and faith-based culture came up a lot. I followed up a week later and was invited to a second interview, which was more focused on whether I’d be a good fit with the college’s mission. Again, there was a strong emphasis on faith and the school’s values.
I followed up again with the director a week after that and never heard back. It felt hypocritical after they'd put so much emphasis on faith and being a witness, but couldn’t extend the basic courtesy of letting me know they’d moved on in the hiring process.
