First round was a 45 min video conversation about my resume with the CTO. That was lovely.
Second round was a live coding exercise with a backend and frontend engineer.
The backend engineer exhibited some extremely strong opinions about relative minor and highly subjective aspects of my solution, including whether function names were descriptive enough and whether my solve was maintainable enough. He became exasperated when I said I had a slightly different opinion about maintainability, which I thought would demonstrate my ability to be collaborative. His reaction was rude and disrespectful, which demonstrates lack of open mindedness and willingness to consider other opinions.
Never had an interview experience like this before. Can't imagine what it's like to actually work there. Stay away.
