I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Corning
Interview
There was a phone screen by HR, and then a phone interview with hiring manager and another engineer.
Last was 4 hour day of in person interviews lasting 30-45 minutes. During one of my interviews I could tell I was being interviewed out of formality and they had already decided to hire someone else, which was frustrating. One of the interviewers aggressively tried to catch me in gotcha questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Corning in Jan 2026
Interview
Very lengthy process with minimal communication between stages. The interview process spanned approximately three months from application to final decision. I received an automated rejection email about 3 weeks after the in-person interview.
I visited the site, got a tour, met with several managers for Evals, each around 30 mins. Technical interview was pretty easy. The total process took half a day but it was all 1 on 1 interviews with different managers.
