I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Critical Mass
Interview
The recruiters of this company are very unprofessional and disrespectful and discriminatory. The recruiter contacted me at first and chatted with me about the job description and asked me some general questions about my experience and knowledge, and past projects. Then she sent me a coding challenge. It's a project about rendering data to a page and sending her to recruiters when I'm done. She didn't reply to me, I waited two days without a reply, and then I sent another email asking if she received the coding challenge. It took me two emails to get back to me. Just simply said she received. Then I found out that this project is not visited or download by anyone. Then sent a email for asked the recruiter when can I know the results , and she just sent me a reject email. But they didn't even look at this coding challenge. So I kept asking the reason, and she told me that I submitted it the wrong way. This makes it feel weird. If I submit a wrong or anything missing she should have told me earlier, I could revise the format of the submission. That is been a week, she said nothing for that. They didn't choose to view it because I submitted it in the wrong way, and rejected me. I can't believe a company would be so disrespectful to people, it's very unfair to reject me because I submitted in the wrong format and didn't remind me. It was very unprofessional and disrespectful and I felt discriminated against. If the coding challenge is not completed or there is a problem to reject me, I can totally understand. But they didn't even look at it and rejected me because of the wrong format. I don't know if the recruiter submitted it to the team. Becuause when I ask her did she Everything is opaque. I felt severely disrespected.Because I sent it to her on Saturday and asked if she had received it, she didn't reply until Tuesday, just saying yes. It didn't tell me what was missing either. And my coding challenge project has completed all the requirements for any problem, and I have added more functions. The coding challenge If you don't look at the content of coding itself, but focus on some other places, what is the point of this challenge. At least I should have looked at my project before doing it absolutely, but they didn't, it's just a malformed submission. Why let me waste 30+ hours on this project if it didn't want to beckon me in the first place and then not even check it out. This is very disrespectful and unfair to candidates.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Critical Mass (Vancouver, BC) in May 2022
Interview
There are 3 steps: 1) chat with a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, 2) take-home coding challenge, 3) interview with two Senior Developers. The first one is a casual conversation mainly talked about my background. The coding challenge is a small frontend project. The last interview included both technical questions and behavioral questions.
