I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CrowdRiff (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2026
Interview
Honestly the process felt pretty disorganized and impersonal. Communication was inconsistent, and the interview didn’t feel like a real conversation so much as a checkbox exercise. They asked nothing about product design questions, and wanted fully mocked up solutions to their "interview exercise" aka, free work.
Had a first-round interview, pretty standard stuff. They asked about my experience, what I’ve worked on, and my availability. Then I had a quick 15-minute call with their HR rep to go over basics and I was given an assignment
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself and why you want to join us.
BEWARE, PLEASE STAY AWAY!
Spoken with the recruiter and later spoken with a VP the hiring manager. It was an extremely bad experience, one of the worst in my career. They were were extremely disrespectful and condescending. I remained very polite. I felt humiliated for a good hour. If they didn't like me, they could just end the interview. Why they want to humiliate me is beyond me.
