Interviews for Top Jobs at Cutera

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cutera in Nov 2022
I’ve interviewed in 2 different states with this company after being referred by a friend of mine/current employee who can vouch for my qualifications. Both times, the recruiters waited about 4 weeks to initially contact me, didn’t give me the opportunity to ask any questions in the first round before ending the call, and ghosted me at that point. Fool me once… Interviews go both ways, it’s just as important for candidates to ask questions as it is for the interviewer to. I’ll never entertain another interview offer from a company that already treats people THIS POORLY from the jump.
- What would be your ideal job in a perfect world?

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cutera in May 2022
Applied via MedReps. Process took a month from application to start date. 1 - Phone screen with a recruiter. 2 - Call/Interview with RSM 3 - Call/Interview with ASM 4 - Call with another TM 5 - Finally, a call with a different RSM to corroborate decision 6- Offer Overall - solid experience
- Questions are more personality "What motivates you?" based then getting in the weeds on specific experience. You have to have good sales experience to get past the initial phone screen. From there its just making sure you are the right culture fit for the team and if you have the work ethic.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cutera (Brisbane, CA) in Apr 2022
I interviewed over the phone with the hiring manager and disclosed my salary expectations to the hiring manager, who told me the range I provided was a little higher than budgeted but they would see what they could do. I later followed up with the recruiter when scheduling an onsite interview to reaffirm my minimum salary expectations. Cutera flew me out for an onsite interview, I was told the expenses for my flight and hotel that I booked would be reimbursed via email. After the interview I was offered a position, but the total compensation (salary + stock + bonus) combined did not even meet the number I provided as a minimum salary. I declined the offer due to the salary. After the interview I submitted my expense report for reimbursement (May 2022). After multiple attempts at following up I have still not been reimbursed (it is October 2022 currently). Based on how this company handled my interview process, requiring me pay out of pocket for an interview where I was under the impression we were aligned on salary and then not reimbursing me for the personal travel expenses afterwards, I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider employment with this company. If the company cannot even treat you well before you are employed there, I can only imagine how bad it is for employees.
- Technical interview with hiring manager followed by an onsite panel interview with a technical case study.

Casual and non intimidating was able the speak to multiple people in the company to understand the role better. There was some conflicting opinions on the role and ultimately the workload was downplayed but for the most part, everything else has been as discussed.
- How many years of experience do you have and how can it be applied.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cutera (Brisbane, CA) in Nov 2021
Recieved an automatic email to set up an interview. Received several emails and messages on my phone to remind me of the interview. No one showed up for the interview and there was absolutely no way to contact HR. Very disappointing.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Vancouver, BC
I applied online. I interviewed at Cutera (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2021
Waste of time, clearly said there is no balance of work/life, very demanding, have to work too much during the week and also weekends, not reasonable at all, too much pressure and stress, not sure even if they pay off, doesn’t worth it in my opinion
- Background and work experience in resume

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cutera in Mar 2021
two-step process. Phone interview and in-person interview. They were agitated that I tried to counteroffer them, it made me realize working with this particular team would not be in my best interest.
- They asked me situational questions about the site.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cutera (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
The ASM slid in my DMs asking "why i am not selling lasers" (I was in pharma atthe time) always wanted to break into medical device so had a phone call with him then met him at a bar for an in person conversation, spoke to the VP with already 1 foot out the door ready to leave for a competitor on the phone for a good 30 seconds and was hired after 2 weeks. Pretty sure no one there has ever seen my resume or asked for it.
- Are you a good liar? Can you run around and book meetings for me in hopes you find a last minute opp and help me myself and i make quota

2 step process. In-person 1-on-1 with hiring manager, followed by a presentation to managers and senior vice president. They made an offer the day after the presentation. I'm just writing more words now because I'm getting an error message.
- What was my experience in my last role?
