Interview
Scheduled interview through an agent. Suppose to meet with CEO Steve. Agent sent both of us google calendars and both of us replied "yes". First appointment, NO SHOW. CEO said he calendar was not synced. ?? Second appointment, NO SHOW. no explanation this time.
Then I went on glassdoor see all the reviews. Wow, god. Dodged a bullet. I'm glad i didn't end up working for this company. Avoid at all costs.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cuts (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
What a weird place. I came in for an in person interview. Before it they kept asking if I was ok in person, and I said yeah. I get there and there's no one there. I asked if it was a holiday and they said no. So then the interview starts and everyone is talking about their pod cast. I asked how the pod cast fits into the business plan and no one knew. The weirdest part was the description of the vibe and energy of the place in my phone interview and then I get there and there's literally nobody around. Maybe I was there on an off day but it sure didn't match what I'd been told or expected.
Simple phone convo, very casual and conversational! I appreciated speaking with a higher up on the production team and learning more about the company and culture. Thorough explanation of the position, although the compensation and next steps were not laid out."
