PROS:
-- If you like bikes then you can get good discounts on bike related merchandise
-- Employees are friendly and sociable.
CONS:
-- The owner baits and switches in the interview process e.g. salary is 30k but then in the interview he will say that none of his Store Managers earn 30k and I should expect 20-23k.
-- The owner wanted to increase my hours from Mon-Fri to Mon- Sun for less reumeration in the interview.
-- The owner tried to change the job I was interviewing for in the interview for less renumeration which I felt was deceptive and unprofessional.
-- The owner appeared to be reluctant to invest in the retail premises: he was advised on improvements on: merchandising, replenishment, store lighting, shop floor cleanliness but he was reluctant to enact change.
-- In the interview I felt he spoke poorly about his staff.
-- In my opinion, this was the most uncomfortable + unproessional interview I had experienced in my decade of interview experience.
