Interview
I was initially approached on LinkedIn for an interview for the Talent Acquisition Specialist position. The first interview, conducted by Recruitment Manager Peter Gitau, proceeded satisfactorily. Subsequently, I was contacted for a second stage interview with Chief People Officer Ayesha AlDhafri AlMheiri. The interview, lasting approximately 25 minutes, focused on irrelevant questions regarding an experience from six years ago, whereas I was eager to discuss my recent and pertinent experience as a Talent Partner in the Real Estate sector. Despite making myself readily available at short notice for both interviews, which occurred in September, it is now the 9th of November, and I am yet to receive any feedback. Despite my proactive efforts in seeking feedback since the initial interview, there has been no communication. As someone in the field of Recruitment Management, I find this lack of communication disheartening. It is disconcerting to experience a situation where candidates are asked to make themselves available on short notice, only to be left without any updates or feedback for an extended period. Effective communication is integral in the recruitment process, and the absence of it reflects poorly on the company's commitment to candidate experience. Regrettably, based on this experience, I am hesitant to consider working for a company that undervalues the importance of timely and transparent communication. I am inclined not to recommend this company to others based on my current experience.
Standard interview, nothing overly difficult. Asked about relevant sales experience and ability to reach targets. Explained more about the role and answered any questions I had about the company .
