I reached out over email, and spoke over the phone to a few team members. After a few conversations and a training session, I was given the green light to begin volunteering.
The process was pretty thorough. I initially did a phone interview, which I was contacted about a couple of days after I submitted my application and then was brought in for an in-person interview, meeting with five different people.

Interview
I was interviewed twice by the organization, the first time by only the executive director and the second time by various members, it was an extensive interview but they were all very open to hear what I have to say.
