At 9:17 AM I received a call from one of their interviewers. Nothing but their name and the company name; then immediately launched into the interrogation. When I asked what the call was about, the Screener replied in a vexed tone, DGA Careers, you applied here.
I apologized, explaining that I had been receiving telemarketing calls all morning, and that I hadn't been expecting the call. Without preamble, the Screener, picked up where they'd left off asking me why I thought I was qualified to do the job I'd applied for. I tried to reply, but being confused about the position, and anything to do with it, I scrambled to reply.
The inquisition continued like shots out of a Gatling Gun; the Screener now angry that I didn't have the precience to know they would be calling and thus completely unprepared.
At this point, I paused and decided this had gone far enough. I informed the Screener that I had in fact been preparing for a meeting when they called, and that I had to get moving to get there on time. I followed with a willingness to SET UP a time to speak the them, provided several times that would be convenient.
I received a terse response and then dial tone.
The next day I called at the agreed upon time and the Screener was unprepared. Did not know who I was, asked me why I was calling and then began moving things around on their desk (I could hear the shuffling) until she found my file and began the interview.
