After applying online, I reached out to hiring manager over LinkedIn who responded well to my questions. He asked me about my prior experience with Optimization modeling in Supply Chain domain. He was very open about what the company is looking for and gave me chance to ask any question about the position/company. After that, it took approximately 4 weeks to get first phone screen by HR. It was half hour long phone call and HR mostly asked behavioral questions. I had already received an offer from another company and hiring manager respected my limited timeline. The process was expedited and within two days, I had my second interview (technical, hour long) over the phone with hiring manager and one more person, where I was asked questions about SQL, Optimization, modeling, data analysis, supply chain. It was a good interview, not because I answered all the questions, I didn't, but the kind of questions that were asked were to judge the understanding of concepts. Immediately after the interview, the manager forwarded my application for final interviews with the senior staff. Normally, I think the candidates are invited on-site for final interviews, but due to very limited time, my interviews were conducted over Skype. There were total three interviews scheduled. These interviews were more like discussion. I was asked about my past projects, experience with Optimization modeling, data analysis, ability to communicate to non-tech folks, and why I am interested in this position. Same day, hiring manager told me that my information is being forwarded to HR to prepare my offer letter. From HR phone screen to final decision, the process took less than a week.
Overall, I liked the process at Darigold. The manager was very considerate of my timeline. The senior staff was very nice. I accepted their offer the next week.
