The interview process spanned a period of two months and was both thorough and engaging. It started with an HR round where they asked general questions to gauge my interest in the role, understanding of the company, and overall fit. Following the initial HR round, I was given an online SQL assessment. The assessment consisted of 9 SQL related questions to be completed within a 45-minute window. It wasn't very challenging but there were some questions that I didn't expect, so I only managed to answer 7 of the 9 questions. The final stage of the process was an in-person interview at the company's office. I had a friendly conversation with the Director and one of the team members. Their focus was not solely on my technical skills but also on understanding who I am as a person. The questions were mostly behavioral, aimed at further assessing my potential fit within the team. The environment during this final interview was positive and welcoming, which greatly reinforced my interest in working there. Approximately a week after the final interview, the HR representative got back to me. They informed me that although my interviews went well, they had chosen another candidate who had stronger technical skills. Despite the outcome, I considered the overall experience to be very positive. I enjoyed the process and found the environment to be one where I could see myself thriving.
