      Interview

Pros: The product looks promising (Excel automation/FinTech), and the company seems to be growing fast. Cons: My experience with the interview process (circa mid-2025) was disappointing due to a lack of preparation and inconsistent communication. 1. Recruitment Process: The feedback loop lacked transparency. Deadlines for updates were frequently missed without notice. Being told to expect an answer "tomorrow" but receiving no communication for several days creates a confusing experience compared to other companies with clearer timeline management. 2. Technical Assessment - Environment: The live coding session environment appeared untested. The boilerplate project provided for the task failed to launch due to configuration errors (port conflicts). Valuable interview time was spent debugging the setup and reverse-engineering the frontend logic just to get the application running, rather than solving the actual problem. File sharing tools also experienced technical issues. 3. Technical Assessment - Relevance: The coding task involved implementing logic for a board game (Mancala variants). This felt disconnected from the actual job description involving Cloud, Excel Add-ins, and SaaS. While algorithmic checks are standard, assessing a candidate in a malfunctioning environment—and then cutting the session short to switch topics without completing the code—resulted in a disorganized experience. Advice to Management: Fix hiring tools: Ensure technical assessments are tested and runnable before sessions begin. Align tasks with the role: Focus on skills relevant to the domain (e.g., API design, Data processing). Improve communication: Ensure feedback timelines are realistic and adhered to.

Hello! First of all, we feel you đŸ«‚đŸ˜ž Truly. Since mid-2025, we have taken concrete steps to address exactly the points you raised. As a matter of fact, we implemented a dedicated interview platform to ensure assessments are properly tested, environments are stable, and interview time is spent on relevant problem-solving rather than setup or troubleshooting. Also, our intention throughout the interview process is to overdeliver on candidate experience, but as you rightly point out, this does not always happen. And when it does not, it’s on us. We are sorry for the frustration caused. That’s not the experience we want candidates to walk away with. We truly appreciate your feedback on assessment relevance as well. If you are open to it, we would really welcome the chance to understand your experience in more detail. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at recruitment@datasnipper.com â˜ș So we can look into when your interview took place, add more context internally, and learn from it properly. Thank you again for your honesty, and we hope to hear from you. Otherwise, we would gladly see you try our polished recruitment process. Kindest regards, DataSnipper Team
