interviewer seemed uninterested and wasn't going to in depth about the interview itself. Would move on right after I answered a question. Overall wasn't that good of an interview. Would not recommend again.
I cold applied online and heard back about a week later. I then had a screener call with a recruiter who super friendly. The call didn’t require any preparation. They asked pretty straight forward questions about my experience.
Straight forward process, last round consists of analytical, engineering collaboration, technical, and case study. I felt that the technical interview was easier than what I’d have thought. Case study interview feels a bit subjective since it had something to do with one of Datadog’s products. Recruitment process as a whole was transparent and I love that they give you feedback at the end.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What success metrics would you want to look at if you wanted a product to go from beta to GA
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
1st round is a recruiter screening. typical questions asked like tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here. 2nd round is a hiring manager round to go into more detail on experience and technical background. there is a discussion about the specific product that you would own. Lastly there is a panel round with 2 behavior and 2 technical interviews with product and engineering leaders.
