I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Datto
Interview
Disorganized. Recruiters said they would follow up within days but often took them more than a month. There seemed to be little communication between the interviewers and that ultimately led to a pretty bad experience. Interview process was very, very long. Included both phone screenings and technical calls, one of which involved writing on a online codepad with an engineer.
Easy, straightforward interview. DB, web based technologies, testing, version control related questions. The interviewer was kind and polite. Second round involved blackboard questions and system level problem solving. All the interviewers were helpful and knowledgeable.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Datto in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied for an internship in Datto's QA dept., and compared to other software-related interviews I had, this one was really laid-back and not very difficult. It almost seemed more like a behavioral interview than a technical one.
