It is evident the people at this company are overworked. Every communication was sent at the end of the day and I was expected to drop everything and to respond with urgency. This includes when I was initially asked to tailor my resume to this role asked to apply. My resume was not in any way designed for an IT Strategist role. This is red flag number one. They manage this business through fire fighting. While I would not have accepted an offer based off of this alone, I still took the opportunity to practice my interview skills. The interview left me wondering who's running Hell, because I'm pretty sure I was interviewed by Satin himself. He clearly took the video call on his phone, and I only saw about half of his face the whole time. This told me immediately, he didn't care about my experience of this interview. It was all about what is in it for him and the business. For someone who was seeking experts in domains, his situational awareness and lack of empathy made me question how he connects with clients. He made no attempt to build trust with me. Instead, he attempted to build anxiety and tested how I responded to that kind of pressure. He said he was trying to get to know who I am, but these words, his behavior and questions didn't align. But here is the thing. If someone is truly the expert they claim, and you have something to learn from them, take the free advise if you can stomach the delivery. So I let him call me a "kid", talk down to me, and tell me exactly what I needed to improve on to be the expert in the domain I wish to be. I stopped answering his questions seriously and just let the man talk. Thank you for the free consultation. I'm sure that wasn't cheap. I advise anyone considering this place to look at the reviews. You can gain knowledge and experience while being treated with dignity and respect somewhere else.
