I applied online. I interviewed with the President of the firm. He claimed they had plenty of work. He said he was rebuilding his firm after they had layoffs during the pandemic.
The next day, I received a call from the Transit Division of the company. I was asked if I would like to work in this division. I said yes because of my prior experience designing transit stations.
Right after that interview, I was told to sign paperwork stating I would work for the firm after I would meet with their client. I was told I would have an interview with their client immediately after this interview. After signing the paperwork, I was not interviewed by their client.
I followed up with both people via email and phone. I never heard anything back. I was ghosted. As it turns out, they were using interviews to claim people were working for their firm when they really weren't. If this is how they run interviews, imagine how they run their business - which is pretty bad and unethical.
I can say I dodged a bullet. People should not waste their time applying to work for this firm. Clients should consider that the staff this firm claims are working for them really aren't there. They are using interviews and recruiting ads to gather a fake army of people who work there.
