My interview was scheduled for 4:00 PM, and I arrived at their office at 3:45 PM. They asked me to wait for my turn, which I did until around 4:55 PM when they finally called me into the interviewer's room. Upon entering, I found someone else already speaking with the interviewer, while 2-3 other employees were waiting at the door. I stood outside for about 10 minutes, waiting for them to finish.
By the time I was finally called in, it was 5:05 PM—over an hour past the scheduled time. The interviewer asked why I was there and for what position, which struck me as odd considering they had scheduled the interview. Nevertheless, I politely answered. As I introduced myself, it was clear the interviewer was barely paying attention. Instead, he started talking about his position, recognitions, and the competitive markets he deals with. I listened patiently, waiting for any questions from his side. Meanwhile, several employees just walked in, interrupting our conversation to speak with the interviewer, who appeared rushed and distracted. The door remained open, with more employees waiting at the doorway, clearly listening in on the discussion, with some even commenting that it was getting late.
The interviewer didn’t ask me any further questions and seemed to be in a rush. Instead, he glanced at the people waiting at the door, invited them in, and began speaking to them. In the middle of this, he briefly looked at me and said, "We will let you know."
I left the room confused, wondering if the interview was already over, as all I was asked for was a self-introduction, and the entire discussion lasted barely 7-10 minutes. As I exited, I noticed more employees standing by the door, staring at me, and I overheard someone say, "It's getting late because of her."
The entire experience was humiliating. I don’t understand why they even scheduled the interview if they were too busy. It felt like a complete waste of time.
There were no follow-ups, emails, or calls afterward.
So, for anyone considering an interview with this company, be aware of what you might face. Be prepared.
