DigitalUp interview questions

Last November I applied for a designer potition and a few days later I had a call from the boss it's self. We talk about the most important things and when I was asked the amount of money that I would like, I said 1200€. The conversation went smoothly and I felt very comfortable with him. He said that probably they will send me an assignment, and so they did. An hour after I send them my completed task, he calf me to arrange a meeting in person. So far so good. I went there, and as other commenters mentioned, the offices are nice, very close to city's center, easy accessible by public transportation. At first, I had a nice conversation with the Leader of Creative. Her questions were in point, very professional. Then the boss joined us and we all agreed that we are on the same page, energy and we had the same goals. Noone mentioned me about the assignment, so I kindly asked them to give me a feedback and they said it was fine, regarding the information given (they didn't provide a lot, I even had to use the clients logo from the website it's self). After that, I was left alone with the boss and we talk about the money, so I said again 1200€ and he's answer was that he recognizes my experience but the budget is 1000€ and that the have private insurance. I didn't say anything at that point, and we agreed that we will be in touch. I find this very unprofessional, I spend so much time to this assignment just to hear that the budget is lower that my needs. I felt like he took advantage of me and that he could clarified this at our fist call, so I could say no. A few weeks later and I had no news. I decided to email them and ask for any development. The answer was that my assignment was good, but another one was more compatible. An assignment that we didn't even talk about in depth! On top of this, two days later they posted again a job potition for a graphic designer ( January 2025). I find this so rude and unprofessional. You could say that we weren't a match, be honest.
