I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dolby (Clayton, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
Really great process! Initial screening with a recruiter, 30 min call with a finance manager then if you pass you get invited to an all day virtual on-site day! The on-site day was a blast, first start off an intro by the CFO( super cool guy) then it was 3 interview all 30 minutes with various team managers in the finance dept then an HR presentation then a panel and then a final presentation by the vp finance! overall the experience was great, you learn a lot and learn how great Dolby is!
One caveat and this may be wrong but they have a bias of where they want the candidate that get hired go to school. There was a good mix between cal, ucsb, santa clara and cal poly slo in the last day which was 15 people but ultimately the people that for the position went to Cal and Santa Clara….and if you look at the people who have the position, …they all went to Cal or Santa Clara or UCSB. …so they are a little picky about that imo. …nevertheless that’s corporate America for you!
Regardless…APPLY its a great experience if you move along!
I applied online. I interviewed at Dolby (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2020
Interview
Began with a 30 minute phone call with a member of the finance team. After that I was invited to participate in a virtual super day consisting of 3 30 minute interviews with finance team members, a panel discussion, HR presentation, and discussion with the CFO. All around very well organized and engaging process.

Question 1
Talk about a time when you were working with a team and had to persuade them.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Dolby (Berkeley, CA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Unprofessional and insincere. Complete disingenuous fluff.
On-campus interview with senior financial analyst. It felt like the interviewer had no interest in what he was doing. Asked questions about internship experience as well as "why finance?", "why company?". At the end of the interview he reassured: "I have talked to a few people today and you seem like a great candidate - we will definitely be in touch soon".
It then took him almost a week to send a generic email response: "We were fortunate to have many outstanding candidates, including yourself, apply for this position. Although we were impressed with your qualifications, we are moving forward with other candidates at this time. We wish you much success in your future endeavors."
I asked for feedback, no response after 4 days. Very unprofessional. Waste of applicants' time. Cannot recommend to anyone.
