I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Hello New Grad applicants!
My DoorDash interview process was really smooth. I had 2 rounds: a medium-difficult HackerRank, followed by a 3-round "onsite" (virtual for obvious reasons) with 2 technical and 1 "engineering values" rounds.
I felt really respected throughout the process: they accommodated my deadline needs (I learned about the offer the day after my "onsite"). My recruiter connected me with a VP-level engineer the very next day when I asked to speak with an engineer in DoorDash.
The company is going places, and it is apparent from the time and resources they allocate to you that they are going to invest in you (especially if you are a New Grad).
Also the compensation package is quite generous (beats Google alright!), which is all the more reason to apply.

Question 1
Not going to give the exact questions, but I will say that if you Leet, you can't be beat ;) (I mean, even as a rule of thumb if not for DoorDash).
Thank you very much for your feedback. We greatly appreciate your perspective on the DoorDash interview process. If you have any additional feedback please email recruiting@doordash.com.
Other Software Engineer Interview Reviews for DoorDash
Walking into the coding interview, I was taken aback when they asked about finding the K nearest restaurants based on coordinates. Just days before, I had stumbled on a mock on prachub.com that mirrored this question almost exactly. The interview felt straightforward, but I struggled with some behavioral questions. Overall, the experience was underwhelming; I expected more technical depth. After several rounds, they decided to go in another direction, which was disappointing given my prep efforts.
