Email sent to HR to ask questions about the role. Agreed to a time for a phone interview. Phone interview not received so emailed to check up. HR called 7 hours after agreed time. Further communication received via phone call to go in for a face to face interview, agreed on time and day. Email received with a totally different time than originally agreed. Face to face interview went great. Did not hear back for almost a week so sent a follow up email. The next day received a call from HR and it was the coldest unsuccessful call I have ever received. It wasn't the fact that i was not successful in gaining employment, it was just a terrible process from the one HR lady from beginning to end and the last call really did not make me feel good about myself at all. Never experienced anything like it. I also received an email with the role description with the expected duties, I asked about some of the roles in the face to face interview and they said it was all completely wrong. I had studied their website, the roles to prepare for the interview and it was all for nothing.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dovida (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
It was a very strange interview process. I arrived at the designated time and was seen by an associate who asked me the normal questions one would expect from an interview for this position. I was then told to wait as he was going to get some paperwork I would need to sign for the second stage of the interview process, but was then left unattended for 15 minutes. When the interviewer returned, he was accompanied by who I believe was the hea of HR for the company, who then proceeded to kind of grill me over my CV and would cast doubt on my previous experience. Following this, I was left unattended again for 10-15 minutes. Upon my initial interviewers return, I was finally allowed to sign the forms. I was then asked to provide a bank statement at that exact moment (luckily I had one prepared) and received pushback from the interviewer when I asked if I would be able to send this on following our meeting (I could already tell I did not want to work for this company and did not feel comfortable in the interview process). I then was made to furnish my passport for scanning (I was aware of this step and was fine to do so).
As one may conclude, it was not a good interview experience (though I was told I answered all of the questions well), and I was often fact checked on everything I said (even if it was personal experience) and was fact checked on the number of offices around the world (the head of HR seemed to take around 2 minutes to locate how many offices the company had. This was an awkward moment as the entire room went silent while he searched on his ipad for the answer and my further questions were met with silence.
I wish nothing but the best for the company and it is an important field in Ireland, however I cannot see how this interview experience is a positive one for anyone seeking employment here.
