Hiring manager and most of the panel are nice and good, however there are several flags during the process and may reflect a lack of respect for diversity and inclusion from HR and some panel:
1. HR seems unprofessional:
1) the internal HR was flagged by an external recruiter who worked with them before, and hinted before the interview that even I am a very strong candidate they may not think I am qualified
2) the invitation to interview from HR came out 2 weeks after the hiring manager informed I would be selected to the next step
3) during the interview the HR mentioned that they would not upgrade the position to director level ( something I never asked or requested or mentioned), and then mentioned that flexibility to upgrade to director level is very common at Dyne, however it would not be possible for me because of the HM's title, and the HR team want everyone to have room to grow.
4) I was ghosted after the interview and had to follow up a month after, but the HR said that she had sent out email a few weeks ago and she was not sure why it did not land my inbox (the real reason is she never sent it). I did check spam folder and deleted folder and there was nothing from her.
2. One of the panel who is a stakeholder seems technical but also overly critical. I don't think the person who got hired or anyone in the current team had nearly the experience or technical strength he requested.
