Significant red flags. Two stages, friendly enough first stage screening with talent acquisition, then an hour with the hiring manager.
Then it gets weird. No technical testing whatsoever for what was one of the highest level technical roles in the business, that also happened to report to c-suite. Hiring manager seemed evasive on simple questions as to the nature of the role and precisely what was required from it, and it wasn't clear if they understood it themselves.
Seemed desperate to get someone in role as an offer came in unnervingly quickly, with strong pressure put on me to accept despite my reservations. Appears to be alarming cultural issues at the business judging by other data points on Glassdoor, including a non-negotiable rule as to the number of and even the actual days of the week in person work is required (regardless of your team's priorities or locations). This directly contradicts the flexible working model shouted about in their listed job specs.
I have declined this opportunity as as result. Overall, a very strange experience.
