I applied online. I interviewed at ELLIATT Collective (Sydney) in May 2019
Interview
Very unorthodox, the ad didn't include the company's name originally, nor did it stipulate the role's key responsibilities. I was contacted after registering my interest and then did a skype call which was very vague and seemed to be making claims on what the role entailed with very little concrete points, it seemed very shaky and unorganised and not at all relevant to the position I had thought it was. I was then asked to visit the office for a formal interview. The office was very make-shift with no clear departments. I entered the office to find a man lounging on the sofa at the door with his feet up as if her were napping, and was then greeted by someone who didn't introduce themselves or say anything except to show me where to sit at a meeting table in the next room. I waited for 20 minutes for my interview with no apology from the interviewer when I was introduced. The interviewer was very under-dressed and the interview room was a stock room with printers. I found the interview to be very random, with no real questions about my skills or abilities, and more about what I liked personally, leaving me even more confused about the role and the business. Overall, I found it very poorly planned and extremely unprofessional. Not a great way to try to gain interest in someone fulfilling the position advertised at all.
