      Senior Tableau Developer Interview

      Mar 25, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Doha
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Doha)

      Interview

There is 2 stages of technical interviews. First stage technical interview was asked scenario based questions and we have do the requested changes through screen sharing at first round. Second round is also technical interview but this time i was told it will be more of project manager level beforehand. But once the interview started the project manager added a person in middle of the call and his questions were more of advanced data engineering side rather than a data visualization related position. His is not giving enough time to answer the questions but keep going for the next question was horrified experience. I was not given enough time to answer the questions. It's like 5 questions in the span of 2 minutes which literally stunned me going forward. Not sure he wanted to show off his technical abilities infront his project manager but his response was similar. Pathetic and horrible experience.

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Bogotá, Bogota) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I was first contacted via LinkedIn and had a positive initial HR interview. Things started off well, and I was genuinely interested in the role. The technical interview was rescheduled once and eventually took place about three weeks after the first conversation. It was a thorough and well-conducted interview, which I appreciated. However, after that, I didn’t receive any follow-up. Despite reaching out to the recruiter, I got no response. I understand not every candidate moves forward, and that’s totally fine — but I don’t understand why the process ended with silence. What’s more frustrating is that because the recruiter hasn’t officially closed the process, I’m now blocked from applying to other roles at the company. It would make a big difference to candidates if you could simply close the loop. A short message goes a long way.

      Question 1

The technical interview was very comprehensive, and I appreciated that the interviewer took my background into account when formulating the questions. It included a medium-level SQL exercise involving window functions.
