      Full Stack Engineer Interview

      Nov 28, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EarnIn in Nov 2018

      Interview

Worst interview I have ever attended. Engineers don't have required skills to assess other candidates. I was asked only one coding question. I was able to solve it 90% due to limited lime. More design questions. They don't emphasize much on what you are doing. They don't ask questions. How would one understand if they are happy with what we are answering to? Don't ever apply.

      Question 1

More system design questions. They don't ask you any questions. They just ask you to write class diagrams. But they won't tell you whether that is what they are looking for

      Full Stack Engineer Interview

      Apr 3, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at EarnIn (Palo Alto, CA) in Feb 2019

      Interview

I was referred by Triplebytes and had my on-site interview at the beginning of February. I've mentioned I'll need the working visa sponsorship at the pitch call, and Earnin recruiter claimed they do support it so we both agree to move on to the on-site interview process. I was interviewed at the Palo Alto office at the beginning of February. Overall, the interview was fairly easy and most of the interviewers were really nice. However, after the interview, I totally lost the connection with the Earnin. Not only myself, but my Triplebytes agent and his manager weren't able to reach out to them for almost 2 months. During these 2 months, Earnin was just like disappeared from the world. Surprisingly, at the end of March, I received a call from their senior recruiter and was notified that they decided to make me an offer and they also booked a call for me with the CTO on the upcoming Monday to discuss the offer detail. However, on Monday morning, I received another call from this recruiter and she mentioned that after consideration, they decided to cancel my offer. The reason was that they think there is some uncertainty and they didn't want to take the risk of it. It's totally understandable, but all of the interviewing processes were actually based on our very first agreement from the pitch call. Therefore, I felt like Earnin was actually wasting the candidate's time. To me, as a candidate, I think this company didn't respect their candidate at all and lack of sincerity since they can easily tear what they've ever agreed. I am really glad that I noticed that before accepting the offer and join this company.
