I applied online. I interviewed at Elizabeth Fry Toronto
Interview
I saw the job post online and applied. I was excited to potentially be involved with a non profit company, but the place seems disorganized. Hiring manager conducted the phone interview as if it's just a quick take out order, no decent question asked and just scheduled me for an in-person interview at their Brampton office. I was promised to receive an email of the meeting but she forgot, I had to follow up the day itself since the long weekend had passed. I was greeted by a friendly employee upon my arrival, but hiring manager was a different story. Not a smile nor a handshake. Majority of the in-person interview questions were not part of the posted job requirements online, as if the role was only posted for them to test the current job market situation. An entry level role that suddenly required management and other department responsibilities. What a waste of time for such an impolite and dishonest interview.
I found out from news online that EFRY's higher management got involved in some unethical practices. Not good for a non profit that claims to support the vulnerable. I definitely dodged a bullet.
