I was referred directly for the role, and the whole process felt thoughtful and very human. HR reached out and we had an intro call — they were well-prepared, knew the product and domain, and were transparent about what to expect in the position.
Then I received a take-home assignment that was genuinely one of the most interesting test tasks I’ve had. After that, I had a call with the team lead with creative, non-standard questions focused on my thinking and approach. Communication was open, respectful, and completely non-toxic.
Even though I didn’t get the role initially, the team lead shared a detailed list of resources to help me improve, which was incredibly helpful. About six months later, they reached out again when a better-fit position opened, and after a final meeting with the Head of HR, the Engineering Lead, and the Design Lead, I got a quick and clear offer. Overall, one of the best interview experiences I’ve had.
