I applied for the role within the School of Medicine in early February. I heard back from the hiring manager 2 weeks later and scheduled a video interview the following week (end of March). It was a chill interview and it felt more conversational rather than an interrogation. I thought I would be asked more skills questions, but I was not. It took more than a month to finally hear back (early April) that I did not get the job. Something to know about positions with Emory University is that everything seems to take a very long time and each interview process is different.

Had a 3 round interview process that took 2 months. The last round took up most of the day with 2 full panel interviews, a teaching demonstration and a classroom observation. They wound up choosing someone that was familiar with the program director internally and already worked for the university.
