I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2011
Interview
I am international so it was through skype. The professors are very nice and I feel if they give you an interview, they probably feel you are qualified. So the interview was not technical, but more conversational and they tab more into motivation.

Interview
Great interview process! Quick response time and very transparent about their needs and my ability to serve them. Being able to speak with the 2 members from the research team, including a PI and the project coordinator was informative.
