I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic in Nov 2010
Interview
I applied online through my University career website. EPIC contacted me, saying they were interested in scheduling a phone interview. The date was set and the phone interview was a 30minute non-technical interview by an Engineer. They described the workplace, the type of work I would potentially be doing if hired and the benefits offered. Later I was contacted saying that I had gotten through the first round interview and would be required to take a Skills Assessment test. I practised for an entire weekend for the test. The test is untimed but I ran short of time because the Library I was writing the test at closed by 8pm. The test was quite challenging but I was prepared. I was drained by the end of it. I am still waiting on their reply.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Given a year that has 12 months consisting of 30 days each, and given that January 1,2000 was a Sunday, receive a date as input and print the entire week in which it occurs. The date must be on or after Jan 1,2000.
Ex:
Monday 01/02/2000
Tuesday 01/03/2000
Wednesday 01/04/2000
Thursday 01/05/2000
Friday 01/06/2000
Saturday 01/07/2000
Sunday 01/012000
The first round of interviews was pointless. They talked about the role and the company (which one should know before hand). They also require a 4 hr assessment before getting another interview.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Dec 2011
Interview
Started with a personality test which took about 15 minutes. Then a phone interview with just basic questions... "Why Epic?" etc. Then a math and programming test (25 minutes). Finally an on campus interview which consisted of tours, demonstration of the software, an English test, and 2 short interviews.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Aug 2011
Interview
The interview questions were very basic, tell me about yourself, where do you see yourself in 5 years, talk about your previous work experiences, why epic and similar questions like that. My phone interview lasted only around 20 minutes.
