Interviewed with two members of the administration team. They did not introduce themselves in any relevant detail (it could have been anyone in the company). No icebreakers or similar, the lady who fetched me from the side room, walked me up the stairs briskly, sat me down at the conference table and asked me to tell them about myself. That question is not a great opening question because the candidate will often not know whether this is because they have not read the CV and cover letter in any detail, or if the company is interested in skills/aspects that are relevant to the job or fitting into the company. Although most of the questions were relevant to the role, they were open-ended and sometimes difficult to concisely answer before the interview leader's attention appeared to drift. There were also comments about my 'foreign' accent, making me wonder whether the animosity I sensed was due to this, a clash of personalities, or something else.
