      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Expensify.com in Sep 2017

      Interview

I applied online with a great cover letter. I got an interview scheduled, where everything seemed to go really well. I felt great about it, but a week later got an email saying they had decided to go another direction without much else.

      Interview

This interview process was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. The amount of hoops you jump through to get to an on-site is crazy. Then on that day you are given the opportunity to work with the team and be given tasks that the team does every day, with no training, and expected to perform well. It’s seriously a tough gig.

      Interview

Fairly straightforward interview process. You fill out some questions on their website which are designed to check whether you're a personality fit. Then phone call with someone from HR which is literally just 'Talk us through your professional experience, what you took from it and how it can help you in the role.' So it is very straightforward. I was travelling when they had asked to interview me so ended up staying up until 2.00am local time for the phone interview on an unreliable connection and you could tell the person I was talking to was getting frustrated with it, as was I. Couple of days later got a generic canned email saying 'We decided to go in another direction instead' whatever that is supposed to mean but you get the feeling that they could have just saved everyone a load of time if they had a CV to read beforehand, even though on their website they explicitly say they don't bother reading them.
